Putnam History Museum is currently developing an exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the filming of Hello Dolly! in Philipstown. Many community members will fondly recall when Barbra Streisand, Walter Matthau, and Tommy Tune were in Cold Spring and Garrison in 1968 as part of the filming of this iconic movie.
In 2018, we are partnering with Christopher Radko to organize a display of historical photographs, set designs, and memorabilia to celebrate this occasion. We hope to launch this exhibition in May, but we need the help of our most loyal donors!
In order to complete this special project, we are looking to raise funding from our members. Funding will support the Hello Again, Dolly! Exhibition, a Hello Again, Dolly! color commemorative book, the Tommy Tune Tonight! live show at Paramount Peekskill, and Gene Kelly, The Legacy: a live presentation on the life of legendary Hello Dolly! film actor/dancer/director with Patricia Kelly.
Donate now to be a part of presenting an important piece of local history to our community!
To make a donation to our Hello Again, Dolly! fund, donate here, call 845-265-4010 or simply send your check to the Putnam History Museum at 63 Chestnut Street, Cold Spring, NY 10516. Include “Dolly Exhibit” in the subject line.
