Exhibition Opening of “The American Revolution in the Hudson Highlands: Part One”
Gather at the Putnam History Museum to see the unveiling of the new exhibition: The American Revolution in the Hudson Highlands: Part One! This new exhibition features artifacts, documents, and reproductions that tell the tale of this contested Hudson Valley region during the American Revolution. Learn local stories that you may not have heard before, and how they played into the founding of the United States.
As we approach the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution (#Rev250), this exhibition marks part one of two at the PHM highlighting the importance of the Hudson Highlands during this historic period, featuring stories from the first inklings of revolt through approximately 1779. For the second half of the story, you’ll have to return next year!
Attendance is free, registration is requested.
