Butterfield Memorial Library and Putnam History Museum are honored to commemorate Julia’s 200th birthday on December 19, 2023, and her enduring legacy, which includes the construction of the Julia L. Butterfield Memorial Library, the former Butterfield Hospital, and buildings at St. Mary’s Church.
From September through December, the Bicentennial Celebration includes a local essay contest, special lectures, art workshops, historical trivia nights, exhibitions, and more.
