DESCRIPTION:Join the Putnam History Museum and speaker Thom Johnson on a deep dive into the history of the ruins known as Northgate or the Cornish Estate! Expert Thom Johnson will discuss his efforts to preserve and uncover the past of this location that has mystified hikers for decades.\nThom Johnson is a lifetime resident of the Hudson Valley who has used ruins as inspiration for much of his work. Thom was the Art Teacher for the Irvington High School for over 30 years. He has also been working with the State Park staff to clear and care for the Northgate site.\n*Please also save the date for Sunday, September 22nd, when Thom will lead guests in a day-long plein air drawing workshop on location at the Northgate Ruins!
